Are you a results-driven, detail-oriented, team player looking to develop your career in Accounting and Finance with a fast-paced, growing company? We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team.

What You’ll Do:

• Full cycle accounting duties for month, quarter and year-end for both UK books.
• Processing and managing all accounts receivable and ensuring everything is recorded properly.

• Creating and processing purchase orders, invoices and sending to clients.
• Tracking and follow up with clients on accounts receivable
• Recording the payments received correctly.

• Processing and managing all accounts payable.

• Recording and posting invoices from vendors, subcontractors.
• Tracking and Recording payments made out to vendors.

• Posting payroll for all UK employees.
• Management of delinquent payments.
• Bank reconciliation and bank statement review.
• Ensuring QuickBooks are up-to-date, and everything has been recorded accurately.
• Ensure completeness and integrity of General Ledger data.
• Maintain and balance general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries, prepare trial balance and reconciling errors.
• Preparation and analysis of balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Preparing month-end reporting documents.
• Prepare profit and loss statement and balance sheet.
• Developing system to account for financial transactions by establishing chart of accounts.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Perform detailed research/adjustment functions.
• Monitor firm’s assets.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions and reconciling entries.
• Maintaining adequate internal control for accounting processes and procedures.
• Create efficiencies with current processes and ensuring accounting issues are identified and resolved.
• Preparation of year end paperwork, liaising with accounting firm for support in audit queries and during the year as well.
• Analyse and coordinate variety of financial data and report it in a useful manner.
• Supporting leadership, project managers and the team on accounting queries.
• Assisting Treasurer in the development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures.
• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects such as assisting in Salesforce and Mavenlink roll-out.
• Working on creating Accounting Handbook with all current process and procedures.

Responsibilities in coming months:

• Assist accountants/auditors with annual financial statements, interim and year-end audit.
• Assist in tax preparation and filling.
• Assist with budget preparations.
• Cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of Accounting and Finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance or related field
• Experience with full-cycle payroll processing and the use of QuickBooks, external payroll systems (e.g. Payworks, ADP, Ceridian, Trinet)
