Cyber GC was launched in February 2023 and we are ready to grow our team.
Cyber GC is a cybersecurity and technology specialist firm. We are focused on helping our clients to understand and reduce the risk of cyber attacks. We do this through a mix of legal advice, strategic advice, consulting and training. We’re not your typical law firm!
Supporting Cyber GC’s Principal, award winning lawyer Annie Haggar, this role is ideal for someone with small kids who needs flexibility, school hour friendly work and an understanding boss and workplace. Annie has 2 small kids herself and a husband who travels a lot.
In this role you will:
– organise meetings and diaries for Annie, coordinating with senior client executives, family and organisations
– create cost agreements, NDAs and other forms
– manage invoicing including creating and sending invoices, tracking payments and sending receipts using Xero
– keep our Practice Management System (Smokeball) up to date. Proficiency with Smokeball or similar system ideal (training available)
– be proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications
– help to create and update templates (including automation through Smokeball)
– answer the phone during business hours (or as agreed)
– help establish and maintain firm processes (file opening procedures, document management etc)
– book travel
– help with marketing and social media
– work with our advisors (including accountant, firm advisers etc) to implement processes and actions
– help organise other appointments and tasks as needed so that Annie can do what she does best – lead the firm!
We want to work with someone who is fun, energetic, positive, and a team player. We need you to have a ‘can do’ attitude. What this means in practice is that if you don’t know how to do something, you ask, you learn, and you try.
We also want someone who has an interest in learning about cybersecurity – you don’t need to become an expert, but you will need to start to learn the ‘language’ and we will teach you.
Mostly you will do this role from home at hours that work for you, but we will be meeting as a team in flexible office space once a week on the Northside of Canberra. We will provide a laptop and other equipment needed to set you up with a safe work environment. If you need a location to work from (eg you can’t work from home), we can discuss this.
This role is part time – hours negotiable – but up to 25 hours a week.
We are offering salary aligned to experience, based on Legal Services Award.
If you are interested in the role, please provide your CV and a covering letter explaining why you would like to work with Annie and Cyber GC. We recommend you have a look at Cyber GC’s website (www.cybergc.au) and our posts on LinkedIn to get an understanding of the firm, the work we do, and Annie, before applying.
We look forward to hearing from you!
