• Develops and puts into action departmental goals, plans, and standards aligning with the organization’s clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements and objectives.
• Provides leadership in overseeing departmental operations, which encompass patient care delivery, information technology utilization, service level determination, and handling of complaints, all geared towards achieving performance and quality control goals.
• Plans and supervises staffing activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, and ongoing educational initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and assesses departmental budgets, ensuring that operations adhere to allocated funding.
• Coordinates and leads both internal and external audits.
• Cultivates an environment that nurtures professional growth among staff.
• Incorporates evidence-based practices into operational and clinical protocols.
• Serves as a knowledgeable resource for staff in matters related to obstetrics and neonatal care concerns.

Must- Haves

• Holds an Associate’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Possesses Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Holds Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
• AWHON (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Certification is mandatory.
• Maintains an active and unblemished RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of Kentucky.
• Possesses a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Demonstrates supervisory experience within a hospital environment.
• Meets the qualifications for working in Women’s Services/Obstetrics.
