You’ll be a significant contributor in the Tech-platform QA team, delivering quality products by thorough functional and performance testing, and following QA best practices and standards.

What you’ll do:

Our Technology Platforms team works proactively to solve challenges associated with a growing, high-volume, customer-driven e-commerce and retail business. In this role(hybrid one), you’ll develop and execute performance test strategies for e-commerce and Operations technology programs. You’ll work independently, while also collaborating with our WebOps (Devops) team, Engineers, and QA Manager to help develop and execute manual and automated load test cases, and baseline some of our Service Level Agreements. At times, you will help with writing and executing functional automated tests for our existing applications and building our regression suite.

You’ll also collaborate with engineers, product managers and stakeholders around performance tuning, application stability and reliability, and partner on initiatives to reduce system outages, defects and performance bottlenecks.

• You consistently commit to delivering quality products and improving efficiency

• You complete your assigned tasks in a timely manner. You work hand in hand with Engineering and stay proactive with test preparations to kickoff testing as the code is available

• You demonstrate ownership of solutions delivered by troubleshooting issues and provide support to the Engineering team proactively as well as reactively

• You consistently create performance testing plans and load profiles

• You execute load tests according to the plan and execute/analyze results

What we’re looking for:

• Track record of delivering high-quality products/systems

• 5+ years of experience in QA with a strong understanding of performance testing.

• 2+ year of writing/execution of performance tests, execution and analyze results

• Experience in testing Web-based applications

• Ability to perform test planning, workload modeling, test execution, troubleshooting, result analysis and communication

• Load testing our key applications and identifying bottlenecks for performance tuning.

• Test case writing, defect logging/tracking, and problem-solving skills

• Must have worked in flexible setup with the ability to adapt to the culture of an Engineering team

• Experience testing APIs / Webservices using SoapUI / Postman

• Experience with tools like JMeter or any other load testing tools building threads, sampler etc.

• Experience with software version control such as GIT and /or SVN

• Experience with tools like JIRA, Zendesk, and TestRail is a plus
