MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (Health Insurance)

National Health and Welfare Benefit Fund located in Lombard, Illinois (Interstate-88 Corridor) has an immediate opening(s) for a Customer Service Representative to work in a Call Center. Job responsibilities will include handling incoming phone calls in order to assist medical providers and members of the benefit fund in a professional, objective, and helpful manner.

Dutie Include: accurately identifying caller’s needs, conducting research and assisting with issue resolution, clear communication with focus on empathy and professionalism, multi-tasking with numerous customer service computer screens, documenting call information accurately and appropriately, meeting service goals and adherence to assigned schedules to insure our members are assisted in a timely fashion, and working well with others within the framework of the customer service team. 90% of daily work time will be on the phone assisting members.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. High school diploma.

2. Experience working with dental inquiries, medical terminology, prescription drug protocol, Medicare, and union bargained benefits

3. Fluent Spanish is a plus but not required

3. 18 months experience in a medical/insurance office environment.

4. Data entry and/or typing experience, at least 35 WPM.

5. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

6. Analytical and organizational skills and independent decision making skills.

7. Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.

8. Track record of providing high quality customer service.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
