As a sales support specialist you will be helping educators, recommending resources, creating custom proposals based on the school/district needs and assisting or leading showroom appointments. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Customer and Account Servicing

• Understand educational based terms and programs, such as, Title I, EL, Spec Ed, Bilingual Education, Professional Development, Intervention, Reader’s/Writer’s Workshop Model, CCSS, etc.

• Provide professional interactions with educators and school district leaders in small group and one-on-one

• Assist sales team with showroom appointments, school visits and sales campaigns

• Build an in-depth knowledge of curriculum resources from multiple publishers

• Make product recommendations and build text sets based on customer needs

• Prepare conference materials and attend conference if needed

• Respond promptly to customer needs and troubleshoot customer orders

• Provide data to help guide the sales team

• Manage curriculum implementations and renewals

Project Administration

• Communicate daily with sales manager and sales team

• Participate in weekly status meeting with sales team

• Use CRM to maintain accurate and detailed record keeping, opportunities and project documentation

• Create and update CRM opportunity report with direction from the sales consultant

• Create and update proposals

• Ship samples as requested

• Complete “Consultant Request Form” and maintain the professional development calendar

• Prepare materials for sales calls and conference

Office Administration

• Restock samples and display new products

• Set-up showroom and event coordination

• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports as directed

• Perform customer service tasks such as; maintaining inbox, processing orders and resolving customer issues

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• Bachelor Degree in education, business, marketing

• Teaching experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking

• Analytical and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness

• Highly Proficient with Microsoft Suite include CRM such as Sales Force or Dynamics CRM

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
