Finance and Audit Manager

Location – Flexible (London or Budapest)

We have a great opportunity for a Finance and Audit Manager to join our UK&I Finance Controllership team

You will support the UK&I Finance Controller in the successful delivery of legal entity Controllership and SOX audit responsibilities, ensuring compliance with global policy. This role will enable you to understand process and risk across a global firm and provide a high-level exposure to senior leaders, controllers and other key stakeholders globally.

The role requires a driven individual to deliver on the regular reporting requirements for (UK) compliance, highly motivated and engaged to deliver timely and accurate financial information.

You will be primarily tasked with managing SOX compliance across EMEA (main emphasis on UK), managing External Auditors as well as leading on the preparation and execution of the statutory financial statements for a number of UK entities. This role reports in to the UKI Financial Controller but has a strong link into Internal Audit for Sox Compliance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit support for SOX Compliance

• Assist in driving annual, quarterly and on-going Sarbanes-Oxley 302 & 404 compliance delivery
• Participate in risk assessment and scoping of SOX controls in support of overall SOX program.
• Provide guidance in the development and adoption of SOX best practices and training to internal control owners.
• Work with business and IT control owners and operators to ensure quality, consistency and operability of new and existing controls. Make recommendations for continuous improvements in a control environment.
• Provide an understanding of IT General and Application Controls along with the related system risks to non-IT process owners.
• Identify any gaps in internal controls, establish process to communicate gaps to relevant parties and track remediation to closure.
• Assist the process owners to update process flowcharts and update other key SOX documentation
• Manage the quarterly control process to support the SOX 302 and related disclosure and reporting process
• Assist ad-hoc internal audit projects as required (not necessarily limited to UK/EMEA).

Financial Accounting

• Process support for preparation of local Statutory Financial Statements (SFS) in the UK in accordance with local deadlines
• Support the legal entity forecasting for key trading entities, building key performance indicators for overall financial health of legal P&L and balance sheets for decision support.
• Support CIT (Corporation Tax) computation and related accounting processes (including reconciliation of corporate tax BS accounts

Qualifications, Skills, knowledge & experience:

• A qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA accountant or qualified by experience
• Several years’ experience in industry, ideally suited to a Commercial Real Este / publicly-traded environment
• Fluent in Sarbanes Oxley S404 controls and awareness of COSO framework.
• Strong auditing skills, good awareness of IFRS (FRS101) and US GaaP.
• Workday (ERP) and Hyperion (HFM) experience is desirable.
• Experience working in a large, global company is desirable.
