The Role

The Lead Talent Acquisition Business Partner is responsible for delivering the direct (non-volume Grades 1-5/6) recruitment services and task /matrix managing assigned Talent Acquisition Business Partner(s) to drive the delivery of operational recruitment for multiple functions within the group. As the go to Talent Acquisition expert, the Lead TA Business Partner works collaboratively with assigned team members deliver the end to end resourcing lifecycle in partnership with HRBPs, HR Shared Services and hiring managers in order to attract, select, offer and onboard capable and committed colleagues Leading discussions with the business stakeholders define and mobilise the best resourcing solutions the Lead TABP will be responsible for ensuring the business can access the best talent to meet their needs on time and in budget across flexible routes to market including FTE/FTC/Contractor/Consultancy.

Main responsibilities:

• Facilitate high quality recruitment service delivery aligned to the strategic objectives of the TA Centre of Excellence; know and deliver best practice.
• Take ownership for building and maintaining relationships consistently with HRBPs, line managers & SLT Members potentially up to ExCo level in order to develop and maintain effective resourcing ‘TA Plans’ to meet current and future resourcing needs for defined functional business area.
• Provide expert consultative resourcing expertise, leading discussions with the business on how to resource project work via FTE/FTC/Contractor/Consultancy.
• Utilise recruitment systems and associated technology to support productivity and reporting of relevant MI
• Know and apply a comprehensive range of candidate attraction, assessment and selection methods to identify, assess and select high quality internal and external talent; take ownership of and manage the offer process.
• Carry out Market Mapping and develop candidate talent pools where required and through assigned TABP(s)
• Champion employer brand initiatives through the recruitment lifecycle and contribute to the broader DCG employer brand strategy; acting as brand ambassador to internal and external stakeholders
• Drive delivery against agreed resourcing metrics and SLAs; identifying key trends and opportunities to improve processes, attraction & selection methods.
• Proactively seek internal and external customer feedback, continuously improving service delivery, ensuring it is fit for purpose and exceeds customer expectations
• Manage the engagement of any 3rd parties and functional SLAs where required on behalf of the team. Be accountable for seeking authorisation and budget approval for relevant engagements
• Provide market insight and intelligence to evolve and shape the resourcing plans and contribute to the strategic objectives of the Resourcing Centre of Excellence
• Provide governance on data, metrics and reporting ensuring the team strive to achieve compliance through each stage of the recruitment process and update systems and tools accurately
• Advise, coach /develop team members, taking task management responsibility for TA Business Partners. The role may require direct line management depending on business requirements.
• Lead delivery of recruitment projects including campaign management when required/support in allocating resources to value-added/improvement projects

Skills/Experience:

• Experience of managing recruitment into multiple business functions in unison, delivering both directly and through a team (task management) or direct reports.
• Proven experience of delivering broader Talent Acquisition advisory and consultative services across business functions to achieve desired outcomes
• Project Management experience – proven ability to deliver end to end non recruitment delivery-based projects that (not limited to) enhance recruitment delivery, improve process or candidates experience, reduce cost.
• Strong commercial awareness & proven ability to use data to influence senior stakeholders and decision making
• Excellent knowledge of current TA best practice through regular market research of resourcing functions in other organisations, across industry sectors
• Expert knowledge of the tools, techniques and methodologies that underpin the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle and proven ability to apply them to deliver positive outcomes
• Excellent knowledge and experience of working within an in-house TA function within a complex and dynamic operating environment
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on negotiating and influencing effectively across a range of TA subject matters at senior level both internal and external to the organisation
• Strong analytical, judgment and decision-making skills, based upon incomplete information across multiple sources; good problem-solving skills with proven ability to filter and prioritise information
• Experience of coaching, mentoring and developing team members / direct reports
• Excellent knowledge and experience of utilising recruitment systems and technologies in support of operational delivery; able to demonstrate positive tangible outcomes from system utilisation
