Junior Data Engineer


North Acton (Hybrid)

This is a fantastic opportunity for problem solvers to hone their coding skill set, gain real business and commercial acumen, apply analytical and technical skills, and be exposed to large datasets in our cloud environment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Apply strong Python and SQL logic to process data to easy-to-consume format for analysts to build models or perform deep dive analysis in a Cloud environment
  • Code, test, and document new or modified data systems to create robust and scalable applications for data analytics
  • Understand business contexts and requirements and then translate them into a data engineering solution
  • Understand and connect multiple data sources such as Adobe Analytics, CRM and Billing Data, across Databricks and Microsoft Azure

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in Python and SQL
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and software
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and planning skills to ensure delivery of timely and accurate solutions
  • Experience working on cloud platforms in a standalone environment – Databricks ideally and Azure.
  • Excellent attention to detail, both in coding and in communication

The following are desirable but not essential:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Practical experience working in the Cloud (Azure)
