First impressions are vital – our admissions team are the first point of contact for each and every visitor who enters the zoo. You will be flying the flag for Cumbria zoo, the successful candidates will be customer focused, friendly, confident, well spoken, well presented, enthusiastic and proactive.

Cumbria Zoo Company Ltd was formed in 2017, we are growing from strength to strength each year, and we need like minded individuals to become a core part of the customer service team. In a unique environment, surrounded by some of the worlds most beautiful and endangered animals, future opportunities are broad and varied for the right candidate to progress within the various departments of the company.

We are seeking customer focused individuals to join our admissions team on a part time basis. You will be concerned with all aspects of the customer experience, from processing admission tickets, answering telephone queries, dealing with incoming email enquiries, processing online orders and advising on encounter bookings.

You will demonstrate a clear and genuine interest in the services the zoo provides and show a genuine commitment our conservation initiatives and events schedule which can then be passed to our visitors.

You will need to be a customer focused self starter with a positive attitude. The ideal person will work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team.

Flexibility is key – you will need to be available to work weekends and during the main school holidays.

Duties will include:

• Greeting visitors
• Checking tickets
• Providing accurate information on feedings, talks, offers, events and exhibits
• Offering on sales
• Keeping accurate records

We are offering a part time postion for an individual who is available Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and a temporary position to cover staff illness; days will be Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday

Candidates MUST be able to work the above listed days
