Education Team Manager (SEND)
Salary: £44,624 – £45,648
Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Leave Cover)
Cumbria County Council Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team is looking to recruit an Education Team manager (SEND) initially to cover a Maternity Leave but this may be extended further.
The SEND Team is responsible for the assessment and support of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The team also ensures that the needs are subject to regular review and the appropriate provision is in place to address the needs of the child or young person and their families.
The Inclusion Service which works with vulnerable children and young people to ensure their needs are adequately assessed and provision made enabling them to access learning and social opportunities which support them achieve their potential.
To act as the lead educational advisor and practitioner in a multi professional team which supports the needs of children, young people and their families with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities through Education Health and Care Plans.
The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and experienced team.
This is advert is for a fixed term post covering the Carlisle and Eden area.

Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Childrens Barred List check.
