We have a fantastic opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to join our team in Lurgan. This is a varied, generalist role, where you will gain invaluable, hands-on experience to really develop your HR career. The Human Resources Advisor will be the first point of contact for managers on site, providing a proactive HR service to our teams and supporting the HR Manager with ‘all things HR’.
As the Human Resources Advisor you’ll take responsibility for managing the starter/leaver process, through to supporting low level disciplinaries and everything in between! Therefore, we’re ideally looking for someone who already has some experience in a HR role, but what we’d really like is someone who is in the early stages of their HR career with a real willingness to learn and develop.
Job Description
Key Duties for the Human Resources Advisor:
Act as the first point of contact for all HR related queries.
Provide case management, ER support.
Prepare and collate case packs.
Provide HR guidance and advice to line managers as appropriate.
Provide accurate data and statistics in a clear format.
Run reports and keep accurate records.
Attend disciplinary/grievance/absence related meetings as required.
Support interview processes on site.
Provide support to the HR Manager on HR operational projects, such as restructuring, TUPE and other project work.
Take accurate notes and minutes at meetings.
Support the HR Manager with engagement initiatives on site.
Build trusted relationships with the site teams and management.
Support HR administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
An understanding of HR legislation.
A working knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
Experience in advising on HR matters (such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence etc).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Adaptable and flexible.
Happy to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
Great communicator at all levels.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office packages.
Experience of using a HR or Recruitment system would be beneficial.
Having or working towards a CIPD qualification would be advantageous.
