This role can be fully remote anywhere in the UK or Ireland.

Salary Info

This role will pay £40k-£60k.

Role Description

As a software engineer at CU Apps, you will work across all of our products to make a significant difference in the growth of the ethical finance sector. You will be involved in developing, testing and maintaining our existing app and chatbot products which will involve app development using the Flutter framework, chatbot development using Quarkus and integration with multiple third-party APIs. You will work closely with the product owner to define and flesh out requirements and be given freedom to help shape these products.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engaging and intuitive experiences for the members of community-based financial institutions

• Work autonomously to achieve defined requirements (with support available from current developers)

• Advise on technical decisions and explain technical matters in a clear way that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders

• Build on our existing mobile banking applications using Flutter

• Develop cloud-based solutions on AWS and Google Cloud

• Manage technical relationship with third-party suppliers

• Take ownership over the architecture and design of software

• Work on new projects

• Deploy new apps and updates to existing apps to the App Store and Play Store using CI/CD systems

• Customise chatbot for new customers

Requirements

• Ability to work autonomously while gaining input from other stakeholders

• Experience with mobile development for production would be strongly preferred

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs

• Experience with Git and preferably CI/CD solutions

• Ability to work across several projects simultaneously

• Previous experience with Flutter or AWS development would be a bonus

• The ability and willingness to work with new technologies is preferred over existing experience with our stack

• Experience working in financial services, payments or other regulated industries would be beneficial
