CSEA Hiring for Finance Associate Job at Albany, NY Full Time

CSEA, one of New York State’s largest unions, is seeking resumes for a Finance Associate for our Albany, New York headquarters. The position works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Finance and performs duties in payroll, cash receipts, grant management, collectively bargained benefits, account analysis and general ledger. Other essential job functions include but are not limited to: responsible for all aspects of payroll preparation, transmission and related tasks; reconciling daily deposits records to monthly cash receipts journal; all monthly bank reconciliations; administer CSEA’s Staff Transportation Plan; prepare all general ledger journal entries.

Salary – starting at $58,000

Qualifications – High School diploma or equivalency with courses in accounting, computer technology, word processing, accounting and spreadsheet software plus five years experience in bookkeeping and General Ledger analysis and payroll. Experience with ADP preferred. OR Associates degree in Accounting with a concentration of courses in basic accounting, Human Resources/Payroll, word processing, accounting software and spreadsheets and three years experience in bookkeeping and General Ledger analysis and payroll. Experience with ADP preferred. OR Any acceptable combination of education, training and experience as determined by CSEA. IN-PERSON PRESENCE AT HEADQUARTERS IS EXPECTED.
