CSC Generation Hiring for Program Manager (IT) at Canada Full Time

The IT Program Manager is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects to meet defined CSC Generation business goals. The IT Program Manager works with assigned project managers and other program resources to establish defined project controls and monitor cost, schedule, resources and quality to ensure successful delivery. The IT Program Manager is accountable for ensuring all projects adhere to CSC Generation defined SDLC methodologies. Meets with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals. Works with a cross functional team to develop budgets and plans for assigned programs. The IT Program Manager determines program standards, objectives, and requirements. Works with key leaders to make important program decisions.

Responsibilities

Manages and leads complex programs or initiatives involving cross functional teams in the IT and engineering field.

Defines the program governance (controls)

Defines work resource plans, along with detailed work plans, estimates, and schedule.

Ensures the strategic alignment and success of major IT initiatives and projects spanning multiple business units or organizations

Defines, leads and executes successful integration and dependency management capability across the various requests, projects and programs

Monitors / assesses program and project progress; drives communications, status reporting, management reporting and executive presentations

Gathers and analyzes data to identify trends that support visibility to potential issues and inconsistencies; anticipates and identifies issues inhibiting successful program / project delivery

Facilitates resolution, mitigation and appropriate escalation of action items, scope changes, risks and issues to senior leadership

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques

Experience leading cross-functional projects

Ability to plan, organize and execute delivery of a program

Ability to collaborate, partner and work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management

Strong leadership, communications, and management skills

Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures

Strong analytical and problem solving skills to proactive identify and mitigate obstacle

Ability to influence without authority and experience working in complex organizations.

High degree of executive presence, including responsiveness, business focus, integrity, sound judgment, and ability to prioritize effectively across competing demands

Strong background in oversight of vendor delivered solutions

Able to handle multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously

Embrace change and work effectively in a fast paced, every changing environment

Work with a strong sense of initiative and urgency, remaining focused on the priorities and ensuring alignment with the business

Working knowledge of Jira and managing projects within Jira

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience

6+ years of technical program management experience in Software Development Lifecycle.

6+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of various levels.

Experience with shipping software products across multiple platforms/devices
