CSAA Insurance Group Hiring for IT Change Management / Communications Lead at Chicago, Illinois Full Time

We are actively hiring for an IT Change Management / Communications Lead! Join us and support CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, in achieving our goals.

This position will lead/oversee all aspects of change associated with the IT organization to align with business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational structures.

You will be responsible for organizational readiness, coordination and deployment of IT initiatives and will support the Office of the CIO to create and implement an organizational change management strategy in pursuit of OCIO goals of advancing change management, improving our community engagement, and streamlining our communications. This person will focus on the people side of change. The main responsibility will be creating, implementing and communicating change management strategies and plans that maximize stakeholder adoption and usage while minimizing resistance. The IT Change Management and Communications Specialist will work with the OCIO, IT leaders and the Enterprise Change Management organization to ensure adoption, utilization and proficiency of the changes that impact employees to increase benefit realization, value creation, return on investment and the achievement of results and outcomes.

You will participate within a core team in the creation, execution, and refinement of OCIO communications processes and products and influence and resources across the division. We are seeking change agents who are resourceful, team-oriented individuals to join our program management and strategic planning team.

Essential responsibilities

The Change Management and Communications Lead will assist with strategic change planning for and execution of communications campaigns across the enterprise on behalf of the IT Division and OCIO.

• Work closely with enterprise change management office, enterprise portfolio planning, working group of change leads distributed across division to achieve project goals, holding teams accountable for successful outcomes
• Develop and implement an overall change management strategy based on complex business initiatives by using CSAA’s evolving change management framework
• Develops goals, programs that encompass change and communications initiatives, facilitates initiatives, and reviews ongoing delivery to ensure linkage to company goals. Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan. Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes
• Ensure understanding and adoption of common framework and standards related to change management, communication processes or process improvements. Implements and reports on the effectiveness of organizational communication program and practices
• Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan to evaluate team member readiness, desired project outcomes, potential resistance and performance gaps to facilitate change from “current state” to “desired state”
• Support a communications framework for the exchange of technical and non-technical information, including highlights of positive efforts, initiatives, new products, and interactions
• Work with Enterprise Communications team to create and refine targeted communications to specific audiences across a variety of media and to all levels of the organization, conveying information to a broad audience in a clear manner

What would make us excited about you

• Bachelors degree with 5-8+ years strategic change management experience. Certification in Prosci ADKAR
• Expert knowledge of understanding engagement theories and practices, people strategies, and organizational effectiveness and design
• Experience leading and supporting change management efforts on organization-wide initiatives for complex organizations. Experience coordinating change activities across multiple departments and change practitioners to create consistent approach and change strategy
• Strategic planning and communications experience. Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders
• Must be a great teammate and able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to write clear and concise correspondence
• Be able to work on several projects and change deliverables simultaneously and ensure timely completion
• Excellent analytics skills and strong attention to detail
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Master’s degree in communications or organizational change management or a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
• Previous experience working with an IT division
• Experience in lean, agile, and human centered design techniques to create and deliver inclusive technical and non-technical communications products
• Experience using Prosci ADKAR framework, Change management certification or designation (e.g. Prosci) a plus
• Previous experience with insurance industry is a plus

Per Nevada SB293 we are disclosing the compensation, or range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Nevada. If performed in Nevada, this position has a salary range of $124,000-$155,000. In compliance of Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be, or could be performed in Colorado. If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of $118,100-$147,600. The role includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 15% of eligible pay.
