Cryopak Hiring for Production Manager at Calgary, AB Full Time

We currently operate in the US, France and Canada. We currently have manufacturing plants in Quebec, BC and expanding with a Calgary location.
We are seeking an experienced production manager that will oversee the start up of our new location, the ideal candidate will be reporting directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for:
1. Coordinate plant operations following company policies, procedures, and established production goals.
2. Direct manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.
3. Manage department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping; including processing schedules, production orders, inventory requirements,
staffing requirements, and work procedures.
4. Identify plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
5. Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring Cryopak product quality standards.
6. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
7. Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement and installation of new machines.
8. Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume.
9. Improve manpower and resource utilization within existing departments and processes.
10. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
11. Coordinate and direct establishment of plant policies and procedures.
12. Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
13. Ensure final product quality meets Cryopak standards and requirements.
14. Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
15. Display appropriate work ethics and follow work rules.
Ideal candidate background:

• 5+ years of formal production management experience
• experience working in the manufacturing industry
• effective communication skills, both written and oral
• strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• basic computer skills
• bachelor’s degree (mechanical or chemical engineering) or equivalent work experience
• Knowledgeable about occapational hazards and safety regulations
