We are seeking a Millwright to join our Maintenance Team for our plant located in Richmond, BC. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:
Workaround and in close proximity of rotating (operating) equipment in order to troubleshoot, diagnose equipment failure and carry out repairs.

Complete assigned and scheduled work orders and perform preventive maintenance on all associated equipment.

Determine parts required for repairs and replacement.

Dismantle, modify and maintain all equipment as needed.

Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and plans.

Determine and follow procedures for testing existing and newly installed machines and equipment to maximize output.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment while performing duties

Follow all maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory codes while always maintaining a safe work environment.

Report any safety and/or quality issues as needed.

Operate forklifts as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Communicate effectively with Maintenance Personnel, the Operations team, suppliers, and contractors to determine effective maintenance practices.

Follow all current Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and quality specifications of manufacturing in the plant.

Accountable and dependable.

Strong work ethic and integrity.

Able to lift and carry objects, as required.

Experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset

Previous experience in a unionized environment is beneficial.

Overtime as required.

Education/Experience:
Red Seal certification, required.

Forklift tickets, Propane tickets, and scissor lift tickets are all beneficial.

5+ years of related experience in an industrial setting.

Working hours

Biweekly shift rotation required:
Day – 7:00am – 3:00pm

Afternoon – 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Graveyard 11:00pm – 7:00am
