We are recruiting Articling Students (January or May 2024) to join our Yellowknife office. All applications received by October 31, 2023 will be considered.

Expectations

Our staff have the opportunity to travel throughout Canada’s Northwest Territories and Nunavut and discover a wide variety of work engagements. Your primary duties will include:

Participate on teams in executing engagements for a variety of clients

Perform tests of transactions and balances to verify audit assertions

Complete compilation and review engagements with limited supervision

Prepare personal and corporate tax returns

Working in CaseWare and Caseview to enter trial balances and set up file sections to create financial statements

Execute bookkeeping assignments

Prepare T1 and T2 tax returns

Staff accountants have a high level of perseverance, integrity, honesty and self-accountability as you are in a period of intensive learning where your formal education is enhanced though practical application.

Working knowledge of accounting standards, accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, Taxprep, QuickBooks/Sage are also considered as asset.
