The Material Planner will be responsible for translating the supply plan into an effective material requirement plan to deliver targeted customer service and inventory levels. The Planner will ensure an acceptable level of material to support the master production schedule and the successful launch of new products. This role is currently remote.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop a material requirement plan to support the production schedule and deliver customer service targets. Ensure timely replenishment of raw/packaging materials to support production.
• Identify, communicate, and possibly solve material gaps.
• Create purchase order (PO) documents according to Material Requirements.
• Manage material plans to support the timely launch of new products and phase-out products.
• Periodically review inventory planning targets to align with demand fluctuations.
• Manage reduction and prevention of slow and obsolete stock (raw/packaging).
• Participate in the development of SAP planning parameters and process improvements

You’ll need to have:

• Post-Secondary education in Supply chain, Accounting, or Administration preferred
• 2-5 years in inventory management or material o planning role. Ideally, this experience would be in a manufacturing environment, either in pharmaceuticals or consumer packaged goods, but not mandatory
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience using ERP/MRP software
