The Role:
The eLearning Course Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of CPI’s eLearning programs. This position will work closely with other Product Development staff, providing design input and feedback as needed throughout the eLearning development cycle. The eLearning Developer will be responsible for the final build of the eLearning course, ensuring that all content, course assets and activities all work seamlessly to provide the learner with a positive learning experience. The eLearning Developer will ensure that the content follows the storyboard guidelines provided by the Instructional Designer and support the learner’s experience.
What You Get To Do Everyday:
Develop eLearning courses following the storyboards, design documents and scripts using Articulate Storyline 360 or other authoring tools
Provide feedback as needed during the design process for proposed interactions, activities, and multi-media within the eLearning course
Test, identify and resolve any issues that learners could face when navigating through the eLearning course
Work with the eLearning Technical Manager to generate production schedules for eLearning products to ensure deadlines are met
Work with stakeholders to review the eLearning course and apply feedback working within the project deadlines to ensure that the project stays on track
Publish courses that will function within a SCORM-compliant LMS
Integrate video, visual and audio technology into the course development process ensuring they are optimized for performance
Ensure consistency and adherence to the CPI eLearning design standards (branding guidelines, accessibility requirements, eLearning templates, etc.) through collaboration with Graphic Designer
Edit digital images, graphics, videos and effects or work with other team members to ensure edits are made
Maintain digital files in a central and easily accessible location for editing and storage
Identify and perform ongoing course maintenance as necessary
Demonstrate success in managing multiple projects and competing deadlines
Perform other position-related duties as assigned
You Need to Have:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience
Proficiency in Adobe Captivate, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Articulate Storyline
SCORM/AICC/xAPI experience is required
Experience working with and developing courses for Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Proven ability to create eLearning courses with a variety of multi-media and interactivity
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as actively contribute to project teams
Strong attention to detail and complex problem solving
Strong written and verbal communication skills
