Job Overview

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for providing support to the commercial logistics team and biodiesel sales and trading team. This position will be based out of our Denver office and will have a hybrid schedule, coming to the office 2 times a week. This is a part-time position (25-30 hours per week) which is expected to work Monday through Friday. Start time will typically be around 8 am with some flexibility.
We are looking for an individual with attention to detail and is comfortable with large amounts of data entry in Excel. Prime candidates will have strong organizational skills to keep track of and maintain accurate records. This is a position in a fast paced environment that will have varying demands requiring a high attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to multi-task.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Compiles, maintains, and updates data in Excel as well as formats the data for various s upon request
• Checks and verifies data by direct comparison with source documents, communicating with the appropriate party if any discrepancies are found
• Communicates with internal and external departments to ensure accuracy of information
• Maintain railcar logs and tracking of inbound pipelines
• Assist with waybills and paperwork distribution of rail fleet cars
• Assist with inventory reconciliation at various locations as related to truck and rail movements
• Fill in for vacation & time off for rail scheduler
• Be a positive contributor to a collaborative work environment
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good proficiency with other Microsoft Office products
• Ability to effectively communicate via written and verbal communication with external customers and internal departments (i.e. accounting, sales, mid-office)
• Proven competence in providing the utmost in customer service
• Very strong attention to detail – must recognize and understand that a task done incorrectly multiplies the effort required to achieve the proper outcomes for various departments.
• Any prior experience in a logistics support or trading or sales support role is a significant plus

Education and Basic Requirements:

• Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – the ability to convey a broad array of information succinctly and accurately
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator; can remain poised and in control while dealing with competing time pressure demands
• Must have Flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under stringent deadlines
• Results oriented information seeker who can operate independently and is motivated to achieve and perform at a high level
• Complete special projects/assume additional responsibilities as assigned
• Must be able to successfully pass Drug and Alcohol pre-employment and on-going screening

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
