Reports to: Team Lead, Data Management and Architecture

As a graduate in computer science or Microsoft certified developer you have a developed an understanding of the new technology landscape and can show us where we could leverage these tools. You will also bring an alternate way of looking at the business problems that we face.

Be prepared to take simple and complex business problems and translate them to technical designs that you or one of our preferred vendors will develop. You will need to manage your own time effectively and be able to handle multiple projects at once. In addition to our own internal team, we have relationships with trusted vendors and contractors that can act as your mentor but there is also an expectation that you can develop and learn on your own.

Our core toolsets revolve around the Microsoft Power Platform. We are building up our overall architecture using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Denodo, SSIS, SQL Server and Microsoft 365.

Main Responsibilities & Activities:
Design and build custom applications, scripts, forms and reports for various business units using Microsoft development technologies with an initial focus on Robotic Process Automation using Power Automate.

Analyze application problems and recommend modifications

Create and maintain design documentation for custom development, integrations, and custom reports

Assist with troubleshooting issues and providing end to end technical solutions quickly and accurately

Utilize the Crescent Point IS ticketing system to assist with issue identification and resolution.

Ensure compliance with the change management process and protocol

Knowledge Skills & Abilities :
A post-secondary degree or diploma with a major focus on software development or Microsoft Certification and relevant work experience.

Knowledge of the Microsoft development suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL Server, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365)

Knowledge of the Upstream Oil & Gas business is an asset

Proficiency with SQL query scripting language

Exposure to Data Virtualization tools – Denodo experience is an asset

Software design, documentation and testing practices

Familiarity with Power BI and associated programming languages

Results oriented, well organized, with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

A team player that respects others contributions and likes working collaboratively with other groups in Information Systems

Ability to work with minimal supervision
