Summary Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Department: Acute Rehab Unit
- Shift timings: Night shift 18:45 – 07:15
- 3 DAYS/ WEEK – 12 hour shift.
- This is a 16 bed unit providing care for adult inpatients needing rehabilitation. Some areas of focus include ortho, neuro and cardiac. This unit is staffed utilizing RNs, LPNs, and PCTs.
- 3 MONTH CONTRACT
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
- Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Certifications Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Ascension Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
