CWC (Creative Women’s Circle) is seeking expressions of interests for a Board Member (Non-Executive) role with a particular skills set to lead our Partnerships & Grants strategy.

Our Board of Management

CWC is governed by our volunteer Board. Positions on our board are determined by a skills-based approach, ensuring we have a breadth of expertise and experience to undertake the Board’s work in setting organisational strategy and ensuring effective implementation – shaping CWC’s capacity for impact and future growth.

Our Board is made up of an Executive team (4 key board members) and an additional 5 members.

CWC is about to embark an exciting new direction. Hence, we are currently seeking expressions of interest for the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Grants board member role with expert skills in:

• Developing partnerships with like-minded businesses that align with CWCs overall strategic goals,
• Top notch relationship management skills
• Attain sponsorship opportunities
• Development of applications for grants and other funding sources in consultation with the Board.

About YOU:

As a member of CWC’s Board, we expect you will:

• Have a passion for the creative arts, creative thinking, leadership & development
• Contribute expertise and participate in strategic development across the organisation, aligned with our vision, mission and values
• Take responsibility, and follow through with your roles and responsibilities
• Act as a representative of CWC through personal participation at special events and major functions. Board member visibility at events is required throughout the year
• Consistently attend monthly Board meetings as well as additional strategic and committee meetings. Our AGM is scheduled in September of each year and are held virtually.
• There are 2 x Strategy Sessions per annum – usually takes place in Melbourne, in person, in June & September
• Commit to 3-4 hours of your time per week, allowing for timely offline engagement. Some weeks not as much. But weeks leading to a big event, there maybe more commitment expected to get tasks done.
• Commitment to CWC and the Board
• Team player & being present
• High communication skills
• Serve a minimum two (2) year term. This tenure will begin on 6th Sept 2023 and end on 30 June 2025
• Confidentiality of all CWC Board matters.
• Disclose any potential conflict of interest with CWC.
