Math Interventionist

The Math Intervention position is a highly qualified teacher of mathematics who works with students that require strategic and intensive intervention. The focus of the intervention specialist is to develop a student-centered system of intervention that effectively works to close the achievement gap in mathematics. The goal of the position is to ensure that the students are able to master grade-level standards and curriculum by

instructing students who have not met state mathematics standards.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with proper Mathematics endorsement (EX)

Montessori and/or PBIS experience desired

Computer literate.

Excellent verbal and written expression.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Works well in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep communication logs

Follow qualifying entry and exit protocols

Use a tiered system of intervention

Keep up on paperwork and technical aspects

Keep up on professional development as aligned to the position

Reports to the Headmasters
