Multi-Media Trainer/Facilitator

Reporting to the Executive Director of Youth of Today Society:
The Multi-media Trainer/Facilitator (herein referred to as “the Intern”) will perform a range of Video/Sound and Graphic Design tasks and editing necessary to youth productions, projects and programs. The Intern may be involved in projects from conception to completion, from community workshops documentation from photography and production assistance through to final reporting and product selection.
The Multi-Media Trainer/Facilitator position has been strategized to provide product development and documentation for the ShakatJournal/CBYF Yukon Online Journal. Core story products/youth video submission editing/performing interviews with clients, and uploading products to online web and social media out-lets. The strategy also is to provide multi-media workshops to youth, young entrepreneurs and Elder/Seniors

Providing workshops for social media, video and sound, writing proposals to fund youth activities
Multi-media educator
$2800/month + Supportive income activities
Working hours are flexible and scheduled but mainly 1:00pm – 8:00pm
Qualifications
A pre-entry postgraduate qualification is not essential, but can be useful. Postgraduate courses that include placements and contact with people in Video/Sound and Graphic design industry provide a good introduction to professional skills and networking. A pre-entry certificate or postgraduate qualification in videography and sound editing may be very useful for entry positions in multi-media productions. A short video course, not necessarily at postgraduate level, may give the individual an edge over other applicants.
Skills
The candidate needs to show:
enthusiasm, interpersonal skills, self-motivation and flexibility
photo, video or sound editing knowledge scheduling and organizing skills, including word processing and research skills
an above moderate standard of written and spoken English
attention to detail, together with the ability to learn quickly on the job
the ability to stay calm under pressure, work well with others and show initiative
creativity, and in some cases digital-editing skills. You may also need knowledge and experience of social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook
time management skills, including the ability to keep to tight deadlines.
Work experience
Pre-entry experience is desirable, and essential, as competition is very strong.
Photo, video or sound editing experience is expected by employee as it shows your commitment to the industry.
