Location: Alexandria, VA – Remote work available. Ability to commute to the office for training is helpful.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday between the 1st & 17th of each month. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8 hours per day. Core hours are 10:00am – 2:00pm. Should set schedule including core hours.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking assistance for the next 2 months+ due to the current workload.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with monthly close
• USAID Local cost reports – start coming in around the 3rd of the month, reviewed and booked within a couple days
• Timesheets and labor distribution – Timesheets due the 2 days after the end of pay period. Labor distribution timing is more at the last timesheet of the month to add in for allowances, bonuses, etc. and subtract things out manually, so must understand the labor portion of Deltek Costpoint)
• Ensuring timesheets are completed and done correctly
• Payroll – less than 40 employees not including field offices (field offices run their own payroll in their home country), use 3rd party software (so once things are done in Costpoint, export file into Excel, make sure deductions are correct, making sure all tax forms are up to date – semimonthly payroll on 15th and end of month. Paylocity used for payroll.
• GL including account reconciliations and journal entries, AP (closed by the 10th of the month), possibly assisting with billing

Requirements:

• Must have previous USAID experience
• Must have previous Deltek Costpoint experience
• US Citizenship required
• 5-10+ years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s
• Previous Paylocity experience is not a requirement as long as someone is familiar with payroll
