Accountant – local higher education role

Overview of the Accountant role:

• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly journal entries
• Bank Reconciliations / General Ledger Reconciliations / Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Works cross-functionally with team members to provide financial reporting information
• Participates in the audit by analyzing and creating general ledger schedules and providing information for auditors
• Ad hoc projects as assigned by Management, including assistance with 990 tax filing

Preferred Qualifications for the Accountant:

• Research and analytical skills
• Excellent communicator
• ERP software experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, deadline driven and an eye for accuracy
• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
