Job Title: Engineer – Design for 3D Printing

We are seeking an engineer who is proficient in either Solidworks or Fusion 360 to join our team to create models for FDM 3D printing. Experience with FDM 3D printing is a MUST. Please include some FDM printing and design work with your portfolio.

Position Overview: As a Creative Engineer at our design company, you will play a crucial role in the development and production of our consumer-facing products. This is a specialized position that requires expertise in CAD design, 3D printing, and working with DXF files for laser cutting. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating visually stunning and functional designs that leave a lasting impact on our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize CAD design software, specifically Fusion 360 or Solidworks, to create and refine product designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, product managers, and manufacturing specialists to develop innovative solutions.
• Execute design concepts from initial sketches to fully detailed 3D models for prototyping and production.
• Ensure designs meet aesthetic, functional, and quality standards through continuous iteration and refinement.
• Leverage FDM 3D printing techniques to create prototypes and validate design concepts.
• Work with DXF files to prepare designs for laser cutting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Demonstrated experience working with CAD design software, such as Fusion 360 or Solidworks.
• Proficient in FDM 3D printing technologies and processes.
• Familiarity with working with DXF files for laser cutting applications.
• Ability to translate conceptual ideas into tangible and visually appealing designs.
• Portfolio showcasing previous design projects and proficiency in relevant software tools.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
