Craneware Hiring for Software Engineer (Entry level) Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

Craneware is looking for Engineers that are excited about working with Frontend/UX technology to drive and support the team in creating an exciting and elegant UI that delights users and enhances the user experience of our products that support our users and the critical work that they do within the US-based healthcare market. We are growing a team of strong thinkers and innovators that are willing to work closely with product and customer-facing teams to design and develop new applications in the Cloud.

We are expanding our current platform and SaaS product offerings by using cutting edge technology to process very large data sets that will provide actionable insights for our customers. Architecting our solutions with a best of breed approach in technology, both Angular and .NET frameworks are leveraged in order to provide the necessary scale and rapidly bring products to market. We are interested in skilled software engineers to join us in Edinburgh – this role would suit a recent graduate.

You’ll be working with a small and friendly agile team of talented software and automation engineers to deliver high quality and elegant cloud-based software solutions that have impact on millions of people, leveraging the Azure platform and latest technologies.

You’ll be:

• Working in an agile delivery team (Software Engineers, Automation Engineers, UX, Product Managers etc.) to contribute to the design and development of software releases using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodology
• Investigating and resolving software defects to provide timely resolutions
• Ensuring sufficient code coverage of deliverables by the use of automated tests
• Reviewing peer code against Craneware development standards to ensure high quality code and consistency
• Working with product management to provide technical solutions to meet product requirements
• Keeping up to date with technical advances to drive innovation

You’ll bring:
Key Experience:

• Knowledge and understanding of modern web frameworks and applications
• CSS/CSS Pre-processors (SCSS) knowledge
• Advanced HTML and DOM knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of RESTful API design and concepts

Preferred Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent course/experience
• Experience in a modern web development framework (Angular, React, etc.)
• UX/UI experience
• Knowledge of Typescript and Javascript (ES5/ES6)
• frontend testing frameworks for unit and E2E testing (Ex. Jasmine/Karma etc)
• Knowledge / understanding of backend programming languages (C#, Java, etc.)
