Extruder Team Members – Duties & Responsibilities:

· Monitoring and maintaining quality and production extruder machine

· Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

· 5S and preventative maintenance as required.

· Using power tools to rework or remove nubs from parts as required

· Minimizing, handling and recording daily scrap levels

· Escalating and communicating issues with machine to appropriate staff levels

· Other duties as required.

Performance Measurements

Produce assembled products per set standards, always maintains a clean work area, follows company policies & procedures and safety rules, punctual and reliable attendance is a must.

Education/Experience Required

· Experience using power and hand tools (saws, routers, drills) an asset

· Previous furniture assembly, using power and hand tools (saws, routers, drills)

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads (60lbs), physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, combination of pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, twisting

Essential Skills: Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, computer use, continuous learning

Salary: $18.05 per hour
