Position Description
The Administrative Assistant contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers through providing administrative support to a designated location and/or department. Coordinates all office activities on a day-to-day basis. Responsible for answering phones, preparing documents, maintaining records, etc.

• Uses a computer to prepare various documents and spreadsheets as requested including letters, s, policies, etc.
• Communicates with customers, employees, vendors and other business partners – both verbally and in writing – in a courteous, professional manner.
• Promptly answers phones, screens and directs calls and takes messages.
• Maintains office calendars and acts as a central point of contact for events, meetings and employees’ schedules.
• Assists in coordinating meetings including, but not limited to pre-meeting communication, ordering/setting up refreshments, preparing handouts/presentations and taking minutes.
• Maintains accurate records, both electronically and paper copies. Follows CR Meyer procedures for records retention and disposal.
• Performs basic accounting duties including tracking hours for payroll, reconciling invoices, reviewing expenses, tracking payments, etc.
• Performs various data entry projects, including maintaining customer and employee information in Viewpoint.
• Assists other employees in locating, completing and submitting various forms, including field new hire packets and expense sheets.
• Processes and forwards incoming mail, prepares outgoing mail and assists others with special mailings.
• Protects confidential information.
• Uses email for communication and submitting information.
• Provides assistance to team members in using current software programs, office machine usage, policies/procedures and other office/department processes.
• Uses a variety of office machines in completing job duties – i.e. computer, copiers, multi-line phone, fax machine, etc.
• Runs various errands, when requested.
• Other duties as needed to maintain the office including opening/closing, light cleaning, ordering supplies, calling for vendor services, etc.
• Wears all assigned PPE and observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times.
• Due to project deadlines and demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Completes all related s and paperwork in a timely manner.
• Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• At least three years of experience in an administrative support role.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn/use Viewpoint software.
• Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines required.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States, without employer sponsorship.
