CPR Looking for Principal Drainage Design Engineer at Cardiff Full Time

We are working with a major consultancy who are searching for a Principal Drainage Engineer to join their Cardiff office on a full time basis. The consultancy operates a flexible working schedule with a 1-day per week office requirement.

In the position, you will be working alongside a very large team of engineers, providing key infrastructure design services across the Southern Wales regions. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, with a large colleague network to support your professional development.

The position will involve:

–          Developing drainage design solutions for highways, infrastructure and site development schemes

–          You will be involved with schemes from initial inception through to completion

–          Producing management systems for foul and surface water, land drainage and SuDS

–          Produce infrastructure calculations and specifications

–          Producing design specifications in accordance with S104 and S106 agreements

The ideal candidate would have:

–          A demonstratable track record of delivering highways or drainage projects

–          A thorough understanding of foul water, surface water, land drainage and SuDS design principles

–          Understanding of SAB processes

–          Be an independent user of one of the following software: MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow or Civil 3D

–          Prior experience providing specifications and works related to S38/S278 and S104/106 schemes

–          Strong understanding of CDM regulations, UK Building regulations and design standards

–          Strong understanding of the DMRB

This is a permanent position with a major consultancy who are looking for a Principal Drainage Engineer to join their Cardiff team on a full time basis. Due to flexible office requirements, this position could suit candidates further afield in Bristol or other regions of Wales.
