CPR Looking for Civil Design Manager at Birmingham Full Time

We are currently dealing with a major Engineering consultancy who are looking to recruit a Civil Design Manager in there Birmingham office working projects leading Rail Engineering projects such as HS2 managing the production and delivery of designs. This will be a Civil focused position, in which we are looking for a candidate with a broad Civil design engineering experience, with ideally experience in the Rail industry. Typical job duties of the Civil Design Manager, can include, but not limited to:

• Adopt a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects, compliant with all relevant legislation.
• Liaise with construction teams to ensure Civil designs are buildable and represent value for money
• Liaise with wider design team to ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across all areas of the project.
• Conceptual outline and detailed design of engineering solutions, presentation of engineering options.
• Delivery of work to programme, budget and specification.
• Assist and support the Engineering Manager where required

Job Requirements

• Experience of managing the coordination of multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects 
• Experience managing design delivery programme and to budget
• Broad Civil Design Engineering experience gained on infrastructure projects
• Ideally Chartered, or equivalent experience
