The role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources. You will play a key role in the organisation’s Data Strategy and have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful delivery of it.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Data Pipelines that connect data stores including the population of Data Warehouses and BI Databases
• Specialise in preparing data for analytical use, self-service ing and data science use cases which includes OLTP and BI database design
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to automate manual processes and optimising data delivery
• Investigate data quality queries and assist with data classification
• Provide meaningful feedback and coaching of other team members to successfully overcome technological challenges

Skills & Experience

• 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
• Strong MS SQL Server SQL query knowledge including tables, views and stored procedures
• Architecting BI and warehouse solutions
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, dbt, HEVO, Dataiku, Python and Snowflake will be highly beneficial
• Experience building SAP Data Services extracts would be great to have
• Tertiary qualification in IT, information systems or closely related fields
