The role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a key role in the acquisition, retention and growth of Cox Automotive products and services within the assigned zone. The BDM is the driver of profitable achievement of monthly sales targets associated with the assigned portfolio.

This role actively builds on existing relationships with customers, assisting with training on the products to maximise value realisation. It also ensures our customers are receiving the highest level of service, whilst actively prospecting and acquiring new business within the allocated zone.

Responsibilities

• Positively embrace the use of field support tools, including showpad, training programs, productivity initiatives, customer communication, activity, and customer relationship management tools
• Actively seek improvement opportunities across the business and implement improvement plans as required
• Develop and maintain monthly key account sales plans
• Manage sales process and pipeline to ensure that performance is in accordance with targets and objectives
• Provide sales activity and performance s on a regular basis
• Deepen relationship touch points across end-to-end customer portfolio

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation or significant equivalent experience in a related industry
• Exemplary communication and relationship building skills
• Strong decision-making and organisational skills
• Ability to study, analyse and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of SAP, SalesForce or other CRM systems would be beneficial
