EXTEND YOUR POTENTIAL WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS 
We are looking for a Vice President to join our team, giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. The role comprises leadership, general management, and people management for a group of approximately 250 staff, across the departments based in London and Bristol.  The Vice President (Operations) forms part of the Senior Leadership Team for COWI in the UK.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be responsible for:

Leadership and General Management: 

• Contributing to and communicating the strategy 
• Overseeing development and execution of Department Action Plans including recruitment and strategic focus areas
• Ensuring management structure reflects the needs of the UK business
• Overseeing development of policies and goals that meet the strategic direction of the business
• The strategic oversight of facilities management 
• UK business forward work planning including revenue and resource forecasting
   

People Management: 

• Leadership and people management of the department heads including competency development and employee engagement
• Having an oversight of UK resource management and recruitment needs including the talent management and succession planning strategies
• Maximising distributed work opportunities and support cross-team collaboration
• Ensuring clear targets are set for management performance 
   

Delivery: 

• Reviewing and authorisation of bids within with Power of Attorney.  Ensure UK-wide compliance with Integrated Management System 
• Achieving budget and profitability targets, cash flow management and production processes

Furthermore, you’ll have:

• A degree in Engineering accompanied by relevant experience in civil engineering projects within the Infrastructure or Energy sectors
• Line management experience and the interest and ability to effectively guide, develop, inspire, and retain a diverse multidisciplinary department to meet the short-term and long-term strategic business goals
• Experience of supervising complex and cross-organizational initiatives and develop cooperative relationships with project managers, execution leads and client stakeholders
• An ability to participate in proposal development, evaluate business risk and support business development activities
