We work with future graduates from across the globe, helping them to study here in the UK, or in selected locations around the world.

As part of a significant initiative, we’re recruiting a brand new team of Admission Specialists. As part of the role, you will be processing applications and supporting, advising, and counselling our prospective and current students through all channels (phone, email, and chat technology). You will be playing a key role in their application and selection process to study here at Coventry University.

We process over 100,000+ applications yearly for all our admissions intakes across our campuses within the University Group, therefore you will need experience of working in a customer focused role with good communication and administrative skills.

You will be responsible for undertaking selection decisions at undergraduate and postgraduate level courses, on behalf of Coventry University, using the selection criteria and making offers to applicants inline with the admissions policy ensuring a compliant process if followed.

What you’ll need

• Self-motivated and organised: You’re passionate about your work, you thrive on getting results and you prefer to be pro-active rather than reactive to situations. You can prioritise multiple demands, managing your time effectively.
• Customer focused: you understand your impact on the customer experience because you’ve been in their shoes, you listen closely to the customer to better understand their needs and go above and beyond to create the best experience possible.
• Clear communicator: You have a friendly communication style with your team and customers. Whether it’s over the phone or via email you can adapt messages / tone of voice to differing audiences.
• Attention to detail: You’re not quite Sherlock-Holmes but you’re detail orientated, you know what’s required or willing to learn and you make sure you cover all bases.
• Tech ‘Savvy’: Okay so you’re not Bill Gates, but you can get your head around systems, able to update them, read dashboards and interpret data, and you’ve got a strong grasp of the Microsoft Suite.

Personal Specification:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of working within an admissions environment in higher education.
• Evidence of working with multiple priorities and working in a demanding environment to meet deadlines
• Experience of working within a strongly customer-focussed environment.
• Experience of working to defined processes and procedures.
• An awareness of school and college qualifications and HE trends, and Knowledge of UCAS policies and procedures would be advantageous.

This role is officer based, working hours 8:30am- 5pm over a shift pattern between Monday to Sunday. However, we will be flexible where we can.
