Covenant Health Alberta is Looking For Receptionist at Edmonton, AB Full Time

Answer, respond to and direct incoming telephone calls. Take messages as required. Greet residents, visitors, staff and others as they exit/enter the facility and respond or direct them elsewhere as needed. Initiate status announcements during emergency and fire procedures using the overhead paging system. Make site announcements via overhead paging system as required (meetings, daily prayer, birthday announcements etc). Assists visitors as required with parking enquiries. Assigns complimentary passes as applicable. Handles money from sales of meal tickets etc. Maintain schedule of site tours and respond to enquiries from prospective residents/families. Collect required documentation for visiting pets per policy and issue visiting pet ID Tags. Keep the front entrance, foyer, Reception desk and Administration area neat and clean.

Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or a recognized equivalent. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently required. Strong word processing skills using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently within timelines and with frequent interruptions. Excellent listening and comprehension skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain customer focus while performing duties. Able to maintain accuracy of data entry and attention to detail while processing large volumes of work. Able to recognize and maintain confidential information. Able to understand both written and verbal instruction.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Equivalencies in education may be considered. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of courses in Microsoft Office applications. Recent reception/switchboard/Unit Clerk experience. Experience working/volunteering in a LTC facility or other hospital environment.
