Country Road Group Hiring for Finance Business Partner Job at Melbourne Full Time

The role

As the Finance Business Partner for the David Jones Financial Services function, you will liaise and partner directly with the leadership team to manage spending within budget and ROI expectations. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide commercial support across Budget, Forecast, Reporting and Analysis against the performance of the FS strategy with particular focus across the American Express/DJs alliance. You will use your financial insight to influence decision making while being hands on with end of month completion and invoice management. In addition, you will provide mentoring/coaching support to an emerging group of finance analysts across the wider finance team.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit a proven finance BP who is looking to provide meaningful value with an industry leading retailer.

Please note that this role is initially a 6-month fixed term contract.

What does the role involve?

• Ownership of the planning process, incorporating the three-year-plan and detailed budget build
• Management of the monthly and quarterly forecast process ensuring accuracy of forecast position
• Provide financial leadership/guidance across forecasting / budgeting, input into business case development and other ad-hoc analysis when required

• Develop and provide mentorship to the Finance Analyst cohort
• Ensure achievement of budget across the financial year

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner or Senior Financial Accounting role
• Capability to drive business improvement and cost optimisation
• Experience with financial systems, preferably Oracle Financials and EPM or equivalent reporting/forecasting tool
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data in ways that are effective and readily understood
• Proven interpersonal, influence and relationship management skills
• CA/CPA Qualified ideal but by no means essential
• Strong Business acumen with an interest/experience in the retail industry highly desirable
