Country Inns (Southern) Ltd Hiring for Accounts Assistant Job at Southampton, England Full Time

Due to expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a bright, passionate individual to support a busy accounts office for a family run network of public houses/inns in the New Forest.

The company is continuously transforming its processes and tools to adapt to its growing size. The individual should be self-motivated and thrive on change.

Location: Ower near Romsey

Hours: approx. 25 hours per week (days/hours negotiable).

Salary: £11 per hour

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance to carry out various tasks to support the accounts office to include: –

• Book-keeping and bought ledger management
• Supporting the weekly and monthly payroll process to include preparation of payroll data, payroll reporting, pension administration, PAYE management, bonus and rewards management, new starter and leavers paperwork
• Reviewing, processing and filing daily paperwork from the pubs
• Holiday cover as required for members of the office team
• Various ad-hoc tasks as required

Experience & Skills:

• An individual who is organised and motivated is essential
• Experience of financial accounting and bought ledger accounts
• A working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts would be beneficial
• Some experience in Payroll processes/tools would be an advantage
• Confidence with computer literacy. Experience with Microsoft applications essential (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• A positive, conscientious and professional approach to your duties with the desire to get things done quickly and accurately.
• The skills to multi-task and prioritise workload.
• The ability to work individually and as part of a team.
