Cosmic Advanced Engineered Solutions (Cosmic AES) is a small innovative company tackling the most difficult technical challenges in signals, space, and cyberspace. We design and develop high-end signal processing solutions for Department of Defense(DoD) in the Counter-Space, Special Operations, Homeland Security, and other specialized mission areas. Our strong team of scientists, engineers, and operations experts specialize in exploring emerging technologies, system development, and rapid prototyping to solve the most difficult national security concerns. Cosmic AES also offers relocation assistance if needed.

Presently we have several openings in Colorado Springs, Colorado for Software Developers of various skill and experience levels.

Responsibilities and Duties

The engineers will use embedded development and design methodologies appropriate to rapid prototyping.

Other expected work may include: Provide specific input to the components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) solutions in place of new development.

Review and test components for compliance to the design requirements, and document test results. Resolve software problem/deficiency reports.

Active communication and participation in the full software / systems development lifecycle, leveraging Agile methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have an Active Top-Secret security clearance(which requires US citizenship)
• BS or MS Degree in CS, EE, or CE, with software emphasis and relevant work experience.
• Experience with the following software languages: Angular and React JavaScript, typescript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience in software design, engineering and development skills, including familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
• Proficiency implementing in a framework such as Django preferred.
• Proficiency implementing software and algorithms in a framework such as Python, C, C++, Java, etc.
• Familiarity and experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
• Team player and capable of working in a fast-pasted, team environment
• Ability to communicate and present to internal and external customers verbally and written forms to support technical reviews and assessments
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience, with demonstrated ability to work independently, self-manage, and own and execute on challenging and difficult work

Desired Qualifications

• Satellite communications, geolocation, digital signal processing (DSP), digital communications, GNU Radio or Software Defined Radios (SDR) experience
• Experience with front-end web development and frameworks such as Node, Angular, jQuery, Django, etc.
• Experience with database design and programming using PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
• Experience with UAS systems
• Experience with Agile methodologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $185,000.00 per year
