Objective:

• Responsible for the movement and handling of product between departments, buildings, and machinery. With the instruction from department leads, you’ll need to effectively and safely load, unload, and shift product from racking systems, machines, trucks beds, and inventory stations. With the attentions to detail, you’ll need to communicate with employees from shipping & receiving when inventory levels are low. Full adherence to safety compliance regulations and the ability to operate equipment safely will be essential to succeeding in this role. Other duties may be required.

Job Description:

• Operate lifting devices, e.g. forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks
• Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, trucks and lifting devices.
• Support inventory control with accurate documentation
• Complete time sheets
• Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment
• Accurately weigh and document materials
• Provide production data on tags or labels

Knowledge And Skills;

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience as a forklift operator
• Forklift Safety Training certificate
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Computer literate
• Professional appearance and manners
