Responsibilities – What You Will Do:
How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

Work and interact directly with seed corn growers in the summer

Activities related to seed corn production, management of grower relations, supervision of planting, rouging and detasseling

Perform tasks associated with harvest, conditioning and shipping, some general repair and maintenance, as directed by supervisor.

Harvest activities from receiving to storage

Conditioning activities such as cleaning and sizing, treating and packaging, palletizing, wrapping and sampling

Shipping/receiving, interplant movement, rework, warehousing, and inventory management of bagged and bulk seed, including the safe operation of forklifts

Compliance with Work Instructions and Quality Plan requirements

Complete and maintain appropriate records, documents, or reports such as quality, safety, grower, and inventory records.

Overtime hours including weekend and shift work as required during peak seasons

Qualifications

Requirements- Who You Are:
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?

Education:
High School Diploma/GED

Two-Year agricultural diploma or related field of study is highly preferred

Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge and experience working with corn, soybean, and wheat strongly preferred

Experience in light industrial, manufacturing, seed cleaning and handling, or warehouse

Other Competencies:
Overtime hours including weekend and shift work as required during peak seasons

Knowledge of production agriculture

Valid Driver’s License

Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions and anticipate needs

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, reliability, work accuracy, and timeliness

Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision

Competent computer skills

Willingness to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions

Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas, standing and sitting for extended periods

Position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs
