PPHE is currently on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join the finance team. As a Finance Assistant, you will be part of a Performance & Management Reporting Team within the regional office reporting to the PMR AFC. The role supports the Head of Performance & Management Reporting to ensure accurate and timely business information is available to the Hotel Financial Controllers and Corporate office.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant:

• Preparation of all monthly management accounts
• Creation and posting of journal postings, accruals, prepayments and monthly reports for the UK & NL
• Responsible for uploading financial information into SUN, SAP, and Board, ensuring consistency across all systems
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations, investigating and correcting any variances
• Prepare VAT submissions and submit to the AFC for approval
• Intercompany reconciliations with relevant commentary for variances
• Shows appropriate urgency in taking action when problems arise
• Highlights any errors or inaccuracies to the AFC immediately
• Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes and procedures
• Engages in active collaboration within the finance community to identify opportunities for process improvements and best ways of working
• Supports the development and implementation of group-wide finance system & process changes
• Provides support for internal and external auditors
• Ensuring the accuracy of hotel ledgers and compliance with the accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices
