The ideal candidate must be a Certified OIS Trainer with experience.
Job Summary
The Behavior Professional (BP) is responsible for providing behavior support services to the individuals served by Cornerstone Valley, Inc.
CVI). Services are provided in line with current rules, regulations, and laws. The BP will train and certify new staff on the Oregon Intervention System (OIS) and provide further training, retraining, and recertification as needed to ensure the appropriate care and safety for our individuals.
Work will be done in a timely, accurate, and professional fashion.

Update FBA and PBSP with new data, any added or removed behaviors, goals, alteration criteria, client info as needed

Collaboration with Team Members
Maintain close, collaborative relationships with House Managers in order to address problems quickly as they arise, to identify and discuss potential strategies and supports, including the case manager and scheduling IDT meetings as needed
Oregon Intervention System (OIS)
Client Intake / Exit
Client Interaction
Client Rights
Licensing
Crisis Response
Assist in crisis behaviors as needed, either via phone to help client de-escalate or in person if possible
Ongoing Research
Any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the job but are not all inclusive.
a) Possess a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) graduate-level certification in behavior analysis and one year of experience using positive behavior support services with individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR
b) Possess a Master of Arts or Master of Science in psychology, sociology, human services, education, social work, or the equivalent as evidenced by providing transcripts indicating applicable coursework, and one year of experience using positive behavior support services with individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR
c) Possess a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in psychology, sociology, human services, education, social work, or the equivalent as evidenced by providing transcripts indicating applicable coursework, and three years of experience using positive behavior support services with individuals who experience intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR
d) A minimum of six years of experience performing professional behavior services using positive behavior support services prior to January 1, 2021.
Working Conditions :
Works in an office environment but also visits clients in their homes.
Observes and provides behavior services.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment.
Occasional travel to Redmond, Oregon is required.
Must have good manual dexterity, can sit, stand, kneel, and squat, be able to frequently lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Occasionally standing, walking, or sitting for significant periods of time.
Quickly applying skill in non-aversive crisis intervention.
Listening, observing, monitoring own actions to ensure they are not disturbing to the clients’ environment.
May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset individuals throughout the day
Frequent hand washing in programs and following physical contact with clients and / or staff.
Subject to frequent interruptions
Regular attendance is required to perform the job satisfactorily.
Team player mentality is a must.
