We are seeking a talented Principal IT Analytics Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area. ing to the Sr. Director Data & Analytics, the individual will be pivotal in supporting the Finance & Services functions.

The ideal candidate possesses strong domain knowledge in Finance, complemented by empathy, curiosity, and a continuous drive to learn and improve.

The candidate must have hands-on experience with Snowflake, Tableau, and SQL transformation tools like dbt and Matillion, demonstrating a proven track record of implementing best practices and effective processes, with direct experience in creating visualizations, performance tuning, and managing role-based access.

In this role you will

Design and construct high-performance data visualizations primarily for the Finance department, as well as Services, and HR when necessary.

As a data evangelist for the Finance domain, they will demonstrate the transformational power of data to the Finance and Revenue teams, constructing compelling data narratives and driving a significant paradigm shift in how corporate decisions are made with data insights.

Operate independently while collaboratively partnering with a global team of Product Managers, IT / ETL engineers (both onsite and offshore).

Additionally, they will have to synthesize business meetings into clear requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, prioritize requirements, and establish roadmaps in conjunction with business stakeholders.

They will also serve as a mentor to the team in developing first-rate analytics capability.

Partner with Business stakeholders in Finance and Services teams

Analyze the data, highlight and fix data quality issues.

Hands-on analysis of business data using SQL or other tools, building tableau visualizations and communicating the analysis in an impactful manner to the business teams and executives.

Understand the data from the source systems and be able to transform it into data-marts in Snowflake using complex SQL transformation

Clearly communicate progress, dependencies, risks, issues, key metrics to business and IT leadership.

Documentation of the requirements and data dictionary and lineage.

You have what it takes if you have

Excellent Communication Skills

Strong understanding of Finance domain.

5-7 years of experience in data analysis using complex SQL, visualization tools like tableau

Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts

2-3 years of Hands-on experience in using Snowflake

Strong troubleshooting skills – identifying data issues and anomalies during the analysis

Experience with Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), & quote to cash processes in a SaaS / recurring revenue company

Knowledge of Enterprise Business Applications Oracle Cloud ERP, O2C, P2P, and FP&A.

BA / BS degree in Computer Science
