Coreslab Structures (Indianapolis) Inc. is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team!

About the Role: The Structural Engineer will be responsible for designing and detailing precast building components in a wide range of structural projects. This individual will work closely with drafters and engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Providing engineering support to sales department by creating preliminary framing plans.
• Advising & coordinating with production department.
• Coordinating with project draftsmen.
• Attending project development meetings as required.
• Creating, checking and optimizing erection framing plans & details.
• Final design of members for in-place and handling loads.
• Connection design.
• Creating & checking individual piece fabrication drawings.
• Jobsite visits as required.
• Development of computer programs using primarily Mathcad and Excel.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structures emphasis; Master’s Degree with an emphasis in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• Professional Engineer licensure a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of building design codes including ASCE, IBC, AISC, and ACI.
• Experience with structural analysis and design programs such as STAAD, RISA, MathCAD, etc.
