Corepeople Recruitment Looking for Engineering Manager at Leeds Full Time

An attractive opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the technical team of a housing developer based in Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge and technical expertise in design of drainage, roads/highways, foundations and attenuation.

The Role
The main purpose of the role is to ensure feasibility engineering designs are fully prepared when assessing new land for building and using civil engineering knowledge and experience to ensure sites are ready for construction. There is a small team of Engineers, Technical Co-ordinator and Adoptions Engineer to manage. Activities include obtaining quotations and engineering designs from companies including civil structural engineering consultants, site investigation, demolition, asbestos, and flood risk experts. Frequent liaising with the highways and water authorities for all relevant approvals, driving timely distribution of engineering drawings and technical information to keep projects on programme.

Experience Required
Knowledge and expertise in civil design for the development of construction sites – drainage, roads, sewers, attenuation, remediation.
Knowledge of specific design and specification features with regards to road and sewer agreements.
Ability to manage a small team.
This is an office based role with regular travel to development sites.

Remuneration
As a guide, up to £65,000 plus car allowance or company car
